This simple yet sophisticated craft is made from recycled newspapers in little village of Budgum , Kashmir India. Using simple tools and techniques these crafts are created. The process of making paper Mƒch‚ is tedious and time consuming. Recycled newspapers are soaked in large barrels with water and rice starch. After 21 days the papers would have decomposed, then they are molded in balls and other shapes and left to dry further. Once completely dried they are individually hand-painted with detailed images.
